April Fools' Year? National One Cent Day? We're on it!
We're celebrating with a brand nudge for the times: welcome to Women Unbroken!
Alert readers1 may have noticed a slight tweak of our page name. “Untamed” was so mid-2024s when many of us were feeling…feisty. 2025 is a very different vibe, which we thought demanded a tweak. Therefore, Women Unbroken. We’re delighted to know many of you, and you’re so well-centered—unbroken—you keep us from going into orbit on a regular basis—and you can’t imagine how much we appreciate it.
In the marketing world, the universe often provides a National Day of __(Something)__ marketers can use to justify what they were going to do anyway. Today, of course, is April Fools’ Day. Since many mornings it also feels a lot like it’s National Fools’ Year, we glommed right onto that excuse to announce the name change today. April 1 is also National One Cent Day, and we’re good at giving our one cent’s worth. And while pennies or may or may not be on the way out, they’re inscribed “E pluribus unum,” or “Out of many, one”—the essence of unbroken.
A more pertinent advantage: a shorter URL. You don’t have to remember the longer Substack page name. Just type “WomenUnbroken.com” into any search engine to reach this page—much easier to remember after the second glass of wine. Also, you don’t have to do or change anything. Your emails from us will still come the same way, and anything you’ve entered in Substack will still be here. And we’ll still be writing away here for you.
Thanks for all your encouragement and support…and hold the line, because our families and communities need us more than ever. Unbroken.
…as Dave Barry would say. His annual Year in Review (gifted article) is a favorite. At Women Unbroken, we can hardly wait to see what he says about 2025. Yikes!

I love your flexibility in changing your name with the times. Still a big fan!
