Study: Jennifer Aniston's Pvolve beats general exercise recommendations for midlife and older women
The British study was on 70 moderately active peri- and post-menopausal women who were not taking HRT.
A study by the University of Exeter found that Pvolve – an at-home, low impact resistance exercise program – is “effective at improving strength and balance in women during and post-menopause” …in fact, more effective than “150 minutes of moderate exercise a week.”
The pilates-inspired workout method – which includes strength training, balance and mobility exercises and cardio bursts – became popular during Covid lockdowns.
Pvolve participants had
19% increase in hip function and lower body strength
21% improvement in lower body flexibility
10% increase in balance and stability, and an increase in lean muscle without increasing total body mass.
